Triumph in the Wake of Tragedy – Another manjya Success Story

In the wake of a wonderful dinner party to celebrate a milestone birthday, we awoke to this wonderful message from a client.

“Wonderful night. La-toya and Aaron were amazing.   The food was delicious. Our guests kept raving about the evening.   We would definitely use or recommend your service in the future.”

This praise alone makes us happy, but let me give you a little history regarding this birthday dinner.

We were originally contacted by this client last November. She could hardly believe her husband was going to be turning 70, and she wanted to celebrate in a special way with close friends, honouring this milestone.

Through manjya she was connected to a fabulous chef, a decadent menu was chosen, and the worry of how to celebrate was taken off her mind.

Well, as we all know sometimes things don’t work out as planned.  Personal emergencies arise, and such was the case with the chef who was to work with this client.

We received the unfortunate news the day before the dinner… and the dinner happened to be on Valentine’s Day – one of the busiest days of the year for personal chefs.

We were saddened for the chef who was dealing with a tragic situation, and grateful for his responsibility and professionalism to his client and to manjya.  But, we knew we had a client to inform, a plan B to make, and a 70th birthday dinner to pull off seamlessly.

We feel fortunate to have been told by a chef of La-toya’s caliber, “anything for you guys at manjya”.  And just like that she scrambled, made other arrangements, gave assurance to us and the client that everything would be taken care of.  As always, she exceeded our expectations and those of our client.
